1What Size Unit are Available?
We offer units in 7 sizes from smallest 25 sq ft (5X5) to 300 sq ft (10 X 30). Our units are 8 ft high. At our York location we offer inside units and several other sizes.
2Do I Have to Reserve and Give Notice?
There is no need to reserve, you can move in immediately. However it is advisable to check on availability. You can hold a specific unit. This holds it for up to two weeks. You do not have to make a long term rental commitment; we require only 2 weeks’ notice to terminate your agreement. All you need to do is contact us to confirm you provisional move out date. You will be sent an email with details of the move out process. It is essential that you call us to confirm you have fully vacated the unit. If we do not have confirmation, then the unit will be considered rented and charges will be applied. Stop and Store do not provide refunds for any unused rental in the month.
3How Much Does It Cost?
Rates are from $20 a week according to the amount of space you need. We also have pre-pay and other discounted promotions. For a quotation please contact us. All we need is Photo ID such as a Driver’s License and a valid credit card. You don’t even need a padlock. We will provide a new (in the packet) complimentary padlock to secure your units. When you have finished storing with us, this is yours to keep.
4How do I Pay?
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard symbol. We take the first payment when you move in, and the payments from your card on the first day of the month. You can also Pay Online!
5Do I Have to Move My Goods Myself?
Yes; however, we have several moving companies we can recommend to help you move in. We have dollies at some facilities to help and many of our units have drive up access.
6Are Your Units Clean and Dry?
All of our units are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. Items which are likely to cause any mess are prohibited from being in storage
7Deposit?
No deposit is required when you rent your storage room. However the unit must be left clean and tidy and without damage. Stop and Store reserve the right to charge your credit card to repair any damage or excess cleaning or disposal of left items
8Restriction on Items that cannot be Stored?
  • Generally you can store anything with a few exceptions:
  • Food or perishable goods, unless they are securely packed so that they are protected from and do not attract vermin.
  • Any other living creatures.
  • Combustible or flammable materials or liquids such as gas paint, petrol, oil or cleaning solvents.
  • Firearms, explosives, weapons or ammunition.
  • Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature.
  • Any item which emits any fumes, smells or odours
  • Any illegal substance, illegal items or good illegally obtained.
  • Compressed gas.
  • Ammunition or any loaded firearms
9Insurance?
Stop and Store requires insurance. We offer flexible contents insurance policies. Or you can bring us document showing your home owner policy expressly covers items away from home.
10Rent?
Rent is charged monthly in advance on the 1st day of the month. If you take advantage of a prepaid deal, then the full amount will be charged upon move in, for the period of the promotion
11Notice?
2 weeks’ notice is required to terminate the contract
12Refunds?
Stop and Store do not refund rent of other charges for part used months
13Vacating Your Storage Room?
The storage room must be left empty and clean upon vacation and you must inform us that you have vacated. Full terms and conditions are available upon request from Stop and Store at rt15selfstorage@gmail.com
